"The Seated Amitabaha" is a painting from the China Ming Dynasty era. Amitabha is a celestial buddha according to the scriptures of Mahayana Buddhism. Amitābha means "Infinite Light". Ambitabha, robed in a red and green cloak, sits crossed legged on a pedestal and faces the viewer. Behind Ambitabha's head is a green halo. Several small motifs and emblems can be found in the fine details of the paintings.
