In A Roman Osteria is a genre scene painting by the Danish artist Carl Bloch. It was inspired by an osteria scene painting by Wilhelm Marstrand, who was Bloch's teacher. It features three main figures, a man and two women, eating at a table. All of them stare directly at the whoever is looking at the painting, with the woman at the centre seductively raising a glass of wine, as though to invite us to join them. A cat and several diners can also be seen in the painting.
