Jacques-Louis David’s showed in his work of The Death of Marat how his friend Jean died in the hand of the murderer who used a knife to end his friend’s life and laid it blooded on the floor. David portrayed a subject of a Revolutionary Martyr like of that Saints of Catholicism and he used the figure of the entombment of Christ in the composition of Marat’s image as his very own reference.
