In attendance were prestigious court officials who can be seen here enjoying cultural pursuits and the spring weather . The host is Yang Rong, has provided scholarly amusements, such as antiques, paintings, brushes and ink for his guests. The attention paid to each individual's facial features as well as the varied, descriptive brushwork in the vases and trees in the surrounding garden are typical of early Ming court taste.
