"A Nude Woman Doing Her Hair Before A Mirror" is hailed as one of the masterpieces of the Danish Golden Age. Painted by CW Eckersberg in 1841, it shows a half-naked woman with her bare shown. The contours of her body are perfectly detailed in neat brushwork. She is fixing her hair in front of an oval mirror hung on the wall. Her face, arm and part of her chest are reflected on the mirror. This painting may be relatively small compared to other masterpieces of that era, but it remains up to this day as one of the best paintings by the artist and that of his contemporaries.
