"Pornokrates" is the most known painting by Belgian artist Felicien Rops. The medium used is gouache and watercolour paint finished off with pastel. It depicts a beautiful, seductive woman holding a pig on a leash. The woman is blindfolded and is only wearing a plumed hat, gloves, stockings and some accessories. Above the pig are three winged chubby children (putti) flying away in horror or in shock. The woman is seen as a depiction of the female at Rops' time, known to many as femme fatale: seductive, aggressive and powerful.
