Wheatfield Under Thunderclouds by Vincent Van Gogh - Famous Art- Handmade Oil Painting on Canvas
Van Gogh painted several paintings of the wheatfields in Auvers during the last weeks of his life; that is before he committed suicide. Based on his letters to his brother, he really loved the peace and calm of living in the countryside. His pictures of Auvers were beautiful. But ironically, deep inside, he was feeling immense sadness and loneliness. The "Wheatfield under Thunderclouds" was one of his last paintings. The composition is simple: a two-plane horizontal landscape of the wheatfield and sky. But the brushstroke is intense, thick and coarse.
